Gower Retreats - Rose Apartment

Rose Apartment is a beautifully presented first-floor apartment set within the peaceful grounds of Gower Retreats (formerly Oldwalls Gower), located in North Gower on the breathtaking Gower Peninsula. Nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this characterful hideaway is surrounded by rolling countryside and open skies, offering a refined yet relaxed escape rooted in nature.

Inside, the apartment blends comfort with understated elegance. The open-plan living space is warm and welcoming, featuring a comfortable sitting area with Smart TV, a dining space for slow, unhurried meals, and a thoughtfully equipped kitchenette ideal for light self-catering. A sofa bed in the living area provides additional sleeping for one adult or two children, making the space flexible without compromising on comfort.

The bedroom features a super-king-size bed, dressed for rest and relaxation after days spent exploring coast and countryside. The bathroom includes a bath with a shower over, basin and WC, perfect for soaking tired muscles after long walks or beach days.

Outside, Rose Apartment enjoys its own private enclosed garden, complete with a hot tub and a distinctive outdoor dome dining area. This secluded space invites guests to slow down — whether that’s soaking beneath the stars, enjoying rustic outdoor dining, or simply sitting back and listening to the quiet of the countryside.

Guests staying at Gower Retreats also have access to a luxury outdoor rustic spa experience, designed to complement the natural surroundings rather than compete with them. Facilities include a state-of-the-art sauna, hot tub, cold-dip plunge, and private tennis courts, offering a balance of restoration and gentle activity in a truly tranquil setting.

Additional on-site amenities include the bar and restaurant, along with the beauty salon and spa. Guests are encouraged to check the website for opening times and to book spa and beauty treatments in advance to avoid disappointment.

With the wider Gower Peninsula on your doorstep, golden beaches, winding coastal paths and timeless villages are all within easy reach. Whether your days are spent walking cliff paths, dipping into the sea, or returning early to unwind on site, Rose Apartment offers a base that feels both grounded and indulgent.

Blending natural textures, calm spaces and carefully curated comforts, Rose Apartment captures the essence of rustic luxury — a place to retreat, reconnect and experience one of South Wales’ most unspoilt landscapes at an unhurried pace.

Please note: Rose Apartment is accessed via stone steps leading up to the property and may therefore not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
