7 Cwrt Y Cadno
Description
7 Cwrt Y Cadno is a pleasant house in Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, with private driveway parking for two cars, an enclosed garden, a conservatory, and a location close to the beach.
Suited to families or friends travelling together, with room for up to five guests and space for two well-behaved dogs, this is a handy base for days spent by the coast and slower evenings back at the house.
Step inside and the layout lends itself to an easy holiday rhythm, with a separate sitting room for films or conversation, a dining room for lingering over meals, and a conservatory that brings in the light and gives you another place to settle with a morning tea or an evening drink.
The kitchen is equipped for self-catered stays, whether you are putting together a quick breakfast before heading out or cooking supper after a day on the sand.
Outside, the enclosed garden with lawn and patio extends the living space nicely, offering room for children to play, dogs to potter about, or everyone to gather around the outdoor furniture as the day winds down.
There is a shop and a pub within reach, while the nearby beach makes it easy to shape your stay around fresh air and time by the sea.
In Llantwit Major, spend time along Llantwit Major Beach, explore the long history of St Illtud’s Church, and take in the coastline around the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
For a change of scene, head to Cowbridge to wander its characterful high street, visit the Cowbridge Physic Garden, and step into the local story at Cowbridge Museum.
Alternatively, make for Barry, where families can enjoy Barry Island Beach, stroll through Porthkerry Country Park, and look out across the water from the town’s seafront.
However you fill your days, 7 Cwrt Y Cadno offers an easy-going base for exploring this stretch of South Wales.

First impressions clean and fresh and plenty of parking.
Thank you for the milk, drinks and Welsh cakes. Shame about the screaming children next door at night. Walls are very thin and can hear everything. I had to use the back bedroom. Although we enjoyed our stay and sitting in the conservatory, there were a few things that could be improved . Most of The cups were stained could have done with bleaching or putting in a dishwasher. There was only one saucepan, and could have done with a baking tray in oven rather than using the large grill pan. It’s great that there is a washer dryer , however there isn’t an iron. The back garden could do with a brighter light for evenings as it was very dark. But luckily the hosts provided torches. The guest info wasn’t very good and needs updating. We missed the bin collection as it was collected the day before what it said in the info book. No info on oven , I needed to know if the oven door needed closing when using the grill, some ovens need leaving open. Had to find info on internet. The settee isn’t comfy far too for my hubby and the rug was a trip hazzard because it kept getting caught in the door.
Excellent could not fault it, cheers
The property was immaculate and had everything we needed.
The milk in the fridge, welshcakes and tea etc were very welcome when we arrived. The property is really conveniently located for the beaches and exploring the area.
