The Gallops

The Gallops is a pleasant, pet-friendly cottage set in Llancarfan, Vale of Glamorgan, with countryside views, off-road parking for four cars, and an enclosed garden that draws guests outside whenever the day allows.

The heart of the home is the open-plan living space, where the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area come together for easygoing days spent cooking, chatting, and winding down by the woodburning stove as evening settles in.

Sleeping arrangements suit families and groups travelling together, with a double bedroom featuring a balcony and en-suite walk-in shower, a twin bedroom also opening onto a balcony, and a family room with a bunk and single bed designed with younger guests in mind.

A family bathroom with bath and shower over keeps things running smoothly, while the garden provides space for outdoor meals, games on the lawn, and evenings gathered on the patio.

Llancarfan’s rural character makes it a good starting point for exploring the wider Vale of Glamorgan.

Cowbridge is a popular choice for browsing independent shops, enjoying relaxed lunches, and visiting the Cowbridge Physic Garden.

Barry is well known for its beaches and seaside atmosphere, with Barry Island and the coastal paths providing family-friendly days out.

Cardiff brings further variety, from strolling around Cardiff Bay to exploring the castle, arcades, and green spaces at Bute Park.

With varied days out close by, The Gallops is well placed for a balanced countryside break.
