“Amazing house, gardens and hot tub.”

Ideally located with a short walk to the shops and pubs, via the river if you wish. Lovely little village with lots to offer. So many walks on the doorstep, we didn’t scratch the surface so will definitely be back for further exploring.

The property

Spacious and stylish, The Pheasantry is an exquisite property, perfect for a large family gathering or reunion with friends in this scenic area of Wales.

Home to a quirky layout and contemporary style, this delightful dwelling is a marvellous base for your rural retreat.

Step inside onto the first-floor level where you will be greeted by an ample arrangement of bedrooms and a large sitting room.

There is one super-king-size bedroom with a Juliette balcony and en-suite shower room, two king-size bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms, two single rooms and one twin room with zip/link beds to create a super king bed on request.

The two single rooms and the king-size bedroom with zip/link beds have a shared bathroom with separate shower and freestanding bath so you can choose best how to rinse of those muddy toes after a day of exploring the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) or the spectacular reservoirs of the Elan Valley.

Additionally all the beds are generously proportioned and have been extended and fitted with custom made mattresses so if you are tall, don’t worry, the beds are extra long!

The arrangement of these bright and airy bedrooms is ideal for all to come along on your fun-filled trip.

The first-floor sitting room has a large corner sofa where you can all gather together in front of the television and the wood burning stove with an assortment of books for an evening of relaxation and family time.

For an evening full of fun, head down the stairs and into the games room; participate in a family-fun game of pool or let the musician of the group show off their skills on the piano before retreating to the open-plan living/dining space for a delicious dining experience.

Combining a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area in one, the open-plan space is a wonderfully sociable area, so you can all sit together to enjoy your favourite meals when you’re not exploring the local eateries.

The property also offers a separate room with a fireplace, a large table and a house-keepers cupboard full of board games and puzzles so you can while away the time in the winter evenings or on a rainy day!

And while others are busy with the games you might choose to take a seat in the snug with a glass of wine and a good book.

The outsize TV in the snug is also ideal for a pile of children to watch their favourite film.

Outside there is a large woodland garden perfect for your canine companions to stretch their legs.

And should your dog need a wash, don’t worry because in the boot room there is a dog bath with towels provided.

The garden has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and an abundance of wildlife with hedgehogs and woodpeckers being frequent visitors.

It is planted with a variety of trees, shrubs and perennials: daffodils, snowdrops, crocuses, fritillaries, ornamental cherries, crab apples, plum and pear trees and Japanese maples to name but a few.

There is a huge oak tree with a swing beneath and up on the yard by the stables.

There is a fire pit and a table tennis table alongside a large circular table and chairs for outdoor dining.

From the house there are some steps leading to a cobbled circle with a jacuzzi.

This property guarantees hours of family-fun from its interior to its exterior.

Positioned on the edge of the market town of Builth Wells, the local area is idyllic and perfect for dog walks or afternoons of picnics amongst the River Wye.

Take a stroll into the town where you will be greeted by an array of wonderful amenities.

Explore the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) or the Wye Valley walk for a day of observing wondrous natural settings and stunning landscapes!

Perfectly situated for exploring both the countryside and the coast, The Pheasantry makes an impeccable property to base your gathering in Wales.

Note: This property has a refundable Good Housekeeping bond of £500.
