Easy walking distance to the beach, perfect to kick back and relax with the dog. The cottage was well equipped and clean. If I was to say anything, a warmer quilt or an extra blanket would have been ideal. The vacuum also needed replacing We were there for the heavy winds and storms and floods for the Newyear. The cottage was comfortable and cosy

Steve “What a agreat location.”
Turning right to the seafront and left to West Dale Bay and the lovely Pembroke coastal path. I was warned about the steep gravely driveway by the owner but was no problem for a car, Trike or sidecar outfit but would be difficult for a solo Motorcycle. All in all its a little gem.

Slightly unusual layout but enough space for 2 people. Sophie the owner went the extra mile for us and was extremely helpful. Good location at edge of the village but only a few minutes walk to the pub and cafe.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Two disappointments (not complaints) based on the fact the property is advertised as dog friendly. 1. Dogs are not allowed on furniture. Our dog is allowed on our sofas at home, and is mainly where he sleeps. Luckily when travelling, we bring a dog crate for safety /peace of mind, so our dog did have somewhere to sleep /relax. 2. The garden is lovely but has no boundary fence or gate, so is not secure for an off lead dog. Luckily we had our 30ft dog lead with us which allowed us to relax on the decking area, and our dog to roam around a little. If you are travelling without a dog, this place is absolutely perfect. Great location and base for exploring the surrounding coastal areas. If travelling with a dog, be prepared and take separate bedding and longer leads.

I didn't use my car for a few days just walked. The property is NOT dog friendly the garden is not enclosed there are no boundaries at rear so dogs could go across several gardens and could get access to road at front of property as no side gate. Supervision is needed at all times in garden. The privacy of property was an issue as owner Sophie was staying at the top of garden in what I can only describe as a garden shed. I had to keep the curtains closed in the lounge for my own privacy. The owner was friendly and helpful and hopefully will take note of privacy issues. On the ground floor the kitchen and bathroom is situated. I was on the toilet and saw the head of the owner reflection on the shower screen as it is part of next door back area. A blind is definitely required. The other point to be aware of is the stone gravel drive. It has been installed onto weed control and has no grip so you have to make a fast run up. One day I got stuck in a large amount of the stones, Sophie did try to help with a rake and I managed to get out. It was a nerve wracking experience. Other than that a lovely holiday, weather good and saw seals with pups.

Lounge patio door and outside seating area overlooked by owners accomodation, other lounge window with communal path running along side was missing blind which lay outside and kitchen door window not obscured at the bottom which also had a communal passage way next to it. Also, found mattress a bit on the thin side and lacked support which I found uncomfortable. Besides that accomodation is well equipped in the kitchen department and comfortable lounge for two people but please make sure you bring everything with you as no shops near by and not even salt and pepper provided, luckily owner was on hand to lend some sugar for a cup of tea on arrival!

A short 10 minute walk to two lovely beaches, an easy walk into the village with places to have a coffee and cake or a meal, and lots of lovely beaches within a short drive - or walk the coastal path to them. Sophie had everything we needed and the decking at the back, overlooking the garden is lovely and sunny! We will return!

The owner keeps the place spotlessly clean and well equipped. The situation of the property is quite unique in that it has two beaches within ten minutes walking distance. There are extensive views and people are very friendly. There is a lack of shops so be prepared to travel a few miles at least to get your groceries. But this is the perfect get away where you can chill out completely. Ideal for walking enthusiasts.

Dale is such a lovely spot and we were there to be with our two sons and their families who were camping. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the annexe had all that we needed. Also it had very nice views across to the castle. The two beaches, the pub and the camp site were all within easy walking distance.

The Annex is in a great location; close to stunning coastal path walks, lovely beaches and in the beautiful harbour village of Dale, which has a great pub. It’s well equipped and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Sophie was friendly and helpful. She is taking the cleaning and disinfecting of the annex very seriously under the current COVID 19 situation, which made us feel safe and secure. Thank you Sophie, we’ll definitely be back. Wooden flooring means ease of cleaning up after a walk along the coast. The location is ideal for those wanting to walk sections of the Pembrokeshire coast, particularly the Dale peninsula and the Marloes peninsula. The only slight issue with the property was the lack of heating on the ground floor, which in February meant the kitchen and shower room were really cold. However, upstairs was lovely and warm.

The location is just right, lying between the Haven & the Irish sea, you can see the sunrise on the Haven water & see it set over the Irish Sea, I guess even better in the summer. It is situated approx 600 yds left or right to the Pembrokeshire coastal path so great walks & a great base for touring the area. We were here over Christmas so Dale quite quiet but the Griffin & the Yacht Club both open with a very friendly welcome and roaring fires. The annex has a nice big kitchen with just about everything you could possibly want so cooking our Christmas dinner with all the trimmings was no problem and with underfloor heating together with central heating made the whole place very comfortable. We are both in our late seventies & would not hesitate to go back there. Thank you, Sophie.

Really clean and tidy with loads of kitchen things for cooking etc. The location is just perfect - literally 5 mins walk to the pub and yacht club and 2 beaches to choose from. The owner was incredibly helpful and even left welcome treats for us when we arrived - perfect after a long journey. Can't fault this place - wifi not amazing but when youre on holiday who cares!

It was tastefully furnished, decorated to a high standard and fully equipped with everything you could possibly want. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to visit Pembrokeshire and walk the coastal path.

Situated within 10 minutes walking distance of Dale, a pretty fishing village and twenty minutes from West Dale, an isolated beach. The garden isn't completely enclosed and a dog would have to be supervised. We and our dog loved the coastal walks. Wildlife is very close as are the sounds of cows in the adjacent fields. If you're looking for a get away from it all sort of place, then this is it! Just make sure you take plenty of food as the nearest supermarket is in Milford Haven, eight miles away!

The village of Dale is situated in a sheltered bay, on the Marloes Peninsula, within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Situated on the Pembrokeshire coastal path and designated a SSSI, Dale also attracts birdwatchers and ramblers. Both West Dale beach ad the Gann are within walking distance from the village. During the 18th century, the village produced ale which was then exported to Liverpool and then from the 18th to the early part of the 20th century, Dale was used to transfer limestone and coal. Today, Dale is known for its watersports and has a pub serving food, a shop, a café, a restaurant and a fort. Dale is a favourite with windsurfers and yachtsmen due to its sheltered harbour within the Milford Haven waterway. There is a busy watersports hire centre with the Boathouse cafe attached and the pontoon for tying up small craft or trying out crabbing skills. The yacht club is open to all and has both a cafe and the Moorings restaurant. The pub, The Griffin Inn, has won awards for its seafood, all caught locally. Just one mile away is the village of Marloes which has a pub, The Lobster Pot, a small café and a shop. The spectacular beaches and rocky coves around Marloes are well-known for many historic shipwrecks, caused by the treacherous seas surrounding Skokholm Island, just off the coast. Marloes Sands, a National Trust beach with spectacular geology is certainly worth a visit, as is Skomer Island, where you can take a boat trip to view its 6,000 pairs of puffins and 120,000 pairs of Manx Shearwaters. Within reach is the small town of Milford Haven with a picturesque marina, unique shops, galleries, tea rooms and restaurants, along with the award-winning Torch Theatre. Also close by is Haverfordwest, the county town of Pembrokeshire with quaint little gift shops, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and a vibrant night life. Haverfordwest sits at the mouth of the River Cleddau and with its castle, museum and large leisure complex it is a great day out for all the family. Dale is an ideal base for exploring this part of South Wales.
