“Property is in great location but don’t be fooled by the quirky cottage.”

Property was dirty and I’m not sure how the property ever passed any fire regulations as the 3 connecting doors are clearly not fire doors. With both properties having log burners and no real escape route out of the bedroom we certainly didn’t feel safe. Owner was very welcoming but I’m afraid we won’t be back. ...

Suggestions for owner - new roof window needed in bedroom (one that opens), fire doors, step stool required to reach those dusty cobwebs & window sills, night light down stairs to make visits to the toilet easier during the night. Clothes horse to dry wet clothes, boot store or rack to stack those dirty boots.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner would like to point out that a clothes airer is provided and there is room in the cleaning cupboard for dirty boots. To re-assure future guests, both the cottage and the adjoining farmhouse have current, valid, Fire Risk Assessments. Despite fire doors not being a requirement in a holiday rental of this type, the owner has, in fact, had them fitted. Property Owner

About the location

GOODWICK

Fishguard 2 miles; Newport 9 miles; St. Davids 15 miles.

Goodwick is a picturesque coastal village overlooking the bay where the twice daily ferries run to Ireland. With a variety of shops, cafes, pubs and a small supermarket, it offers everything you need. The twin town of Fishguard is only two miles away, where you will find more unique shops, a delicatessen, pubs, restaurants and the Last Invasion Tapestry, which is based on the famous Welsh ladies' victory over the French and has been compared to the Bayeux Tapestry. Located in such a great coastal position, the Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire section of the world-famous Welsh coastal path is right on your doorstep, so enjoy the scenic walks, outstandingly beautiful beaches, the opportunity to watch dolphins and seals and so much more! From lazy, warm summer days to wild and windy winter days, the scenery is ever-changing and always remarkable. Historic castles, theme parks, art galleries, kayaking, coasteering and boat trips to the islands are all nearby and St. Davids, the smallest city in the UK, with its magnificent cathedral is a short drive away, while the coastal town of Newport, with its fantastic beach, is closer still. A perfect location all year round.
