Sewin Cottage is one of three beautiful converted barns enjoying an idyllic and peaceful location on a Carmarthenshire hillside with stunning views over the valley towards the Brecon Beacons. The village of Golden Grove is about 1 mile from the cottages and the Town of Llandeilo is situated just three miles away in the heart of the Towy Valley and has an interesting selection of individual shops, galleries, pubs, delicatessens and eateries.Carmarthenshire is known as the Garden of Wales and the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney (a garden lost in time) are just over 2 miles away.
There is superb fishing in the area too with the river Towy providing excellent Salmon and Sewin (sea trout) fishing, whilst for those more active the cottages are located between several excellent mountain bike trails.
You can enjoy a fabulous woodland walk straight from the front door and explore one of the many castles in the area.
The owners keep a small herd of rare breeds sheep in the large paddock beside the cottages. For nature lovers, the area abounds with wildlife, with red kites, owls, badgers and deer regularly seen from the barns.
The Gower Peninsular has some wonderful beaches with great surfing, including Three Cliffs Bay which is less than 25 miles away.
The Black Mountain and Brecon Beacons National Park (which is visible from the gardens) make an excellent day trip. This really is a great location for exploring West Wales, the Brecon Beacons and the Gower Peninsula.
