    “The cottage was lovely.”

The grass outside had been cut just before we arrived but sadly had not been picked up so the dog kept bringing grass in on his paws, plus under one for the radiators in the kitchen a dish had been left to catch water which was not good as the dog could have decided to drink from it so i put the clothes horse round it so he could not get to it. Also the lane up to the cottage could do with something on it as it is not good for cars. Other than that we had a good time

The village of Boncath is half a mile away.

It has a well stocked shop and post office.

Cardigan is 6 miles and Crymych is 4 miles - they offer a larger selection of individual shops and a leisure centre. Five miles away is Cenarth where you can see salmon leaping in March/April and enjoy excellent salmon and sea trout fishing on the Teifi.

Horse riding and farm parks close by.

There is a good selection of beaches within a 20 minute drive and the Preseli hills are great for walkers as well as the coastal path.

About the location

BONCATH

Cilgerran 3.3 miles; Newport 10.1 miles.

Settled in the tranquil surroundings of north Pembrokeshire, Wales is the small village of Boncath. Here, you will find a small village shop and post office, several small businesses, a Welsh Independent Chapel at Fachendre and a charming Community Hall. The hidden gem of Cilwendeg Shell House Hermitage can be located to the east of the village and is a small remarkable ornamental grotto which was built the late 1820s. Nearby, discover the National Trust owned Cilgerran Castle, a striking 13th-century structure which holds imposing views over the Teifi Gorge or venture to Ffynone Waterfall which resides close by and offers scenic walks and a woodland trail where you can spot a variety of wildlife. Animal lovers are guaranteed to appreciate a day out with Pembrokeshire Llamas where you can feed, walk, and bond with these lovable creatures whereas thrill seekers may prefer to journey into the Brecon Beacons National Park where you can immerse yourself in adrenaline-inducing pastimes including white water rafting, gorge walking and abseiling at Black Mountain Activities.
