Milk Wood Cottage

Excellent

A spacious and well appointed cottage.

Ideal for families of multi generations. Large kitchen dinner with all the facilities to prepare and serve meals from scratch. Kitchen opens out to a south facing garden; although on 3 levels there are handrails. The large lounge is split in two zones, ideal for chatting around the log fire and TV or playing games.. good WIFI signal. Ideal location in the centre of the village with plenty of coastal and countryside walks

We had a lovely relaxing time at Milk Wood Cottage.

It was such a cosy and well-equipped accommodation. However, the sofa by the stairs did give us back ache. Difficult access to the garden and front steps, for my 14 year old dog with arthritis. Not a lot to do and had to travel a lot to get to anywhere of interest, therefore wouldn’t stay again. We went to Pendine Sands every day, for short walks along the sand and a paddle in the sea for doggy. As always, the time went too fast.

Milkwood Cottage is so well situated easy walk to pubs and Globe Wine bar.

The cottage is comfortable with 3 bedrooms, a log burner and sun trap garden. It is well appointed with everything you need to self cater. We would be happy to return

Unfortunately this time we were not able to park outside of the house as we had a slightly bigger car.

The parking on the bridge cannot be used as there are double yellow lines now and the one other car park near the house by the shop was full most of the time. We had to park at the top of the hill at the church. This made going out for the day and coming back quite stressful as you were never sure where you would be able to park.

Fantastic cottage in a fantastic little village.

Plenty of lovely places to visit and quiet walks plus lots of choices to eat and drink.

This cottage is so homely and comfortable, beautiful setting, quiet, only sound are the birds,we wanted a relaxing holiday and that is what we had.

It is right in the heart of laugharne ,lovely places to eat out,we enjoyed the pizzas from ty glo where you can sit in or have a takeaway. Its a small friendly village ,everything in walking distance, the nearest beach is in pendine which is a short drive away, other places to visit are amroth, saundersfoot, tenby and follyfarm.we will come back to this cottage again ,it is well looked after, its got everything you need for a perfect stay and the garden is pretty and private,i could go on and on ,thank you very much for letting us stay in your homely cottage

Property was very clean and a pleasure to return to after as long day’s sightseeing.

It had everything we could need and the location was great to enjoy the delights of Laugharne.

Beautiful property, had everything we needed and the sunshine!

Perfect!

loved the place with a few pubs near by to have a drink or something to eat.

Lovely walks along the coast a very short walk away. In a ideal place near the village centre, colin was very helpful.Only disappointment deli did nt allow dogs.Loved the fire which was made up for us which was great and very helpful. Cant wait to go back

Very clean and comfortable cottage in the historic town of Laugharne.

Great walks around the castle, estuary and of course the Dylan Thomas Boathouse. Easy access to Pendine Sands, Carmarthen, National Botanic Garden of Wales and local National Trust properties. The Three Mariners Inn and Ty Glo restaurant did lovely food. Parking wasn't an issue as there was plenty of space along the road next to the park. Our only small criticism was the garden steps were quite steep so a hand rail would be helpful.

Cosy cottage, nice enclosed garden (maybe consider handrails by the step steps?

) Generally clean, a little smelly when we arrived. Mould on window fixing and some ceilings. Main bedroom comfortable with nice view, nice to have choice of a shower or a bath, toilet seat needs some attention as not fixed in a central position. Well stocked kitchen and nice size living area. Good local walks and nice beaches. I would visit Milkwood cottage again, but not book through Sykes.

Delightful cottage, clean and cosy with a lovely garden.

In a brilliant location to make the most of the local walks and restaurant’s. We loved every minute.

Everything was perfect and exactly as expected.

Laugharne was a lovely base to explore the surrounding area. Excellent week.

A clean and comfortable stay.

The cottage was well furnished and decor of a good standard. Great location in the heart of lovely and peaceful Laugharne. We were able to park outside the property. The rear garden which is paved / gravel is pretty and was safe for my small dog. . Just remember to duck when you go through the front doors. Once inside height is fine. Close to a local convenience store which is just 5 mins walk down the hill plus a deli, cafes and pubs and a nice gift shop. Dylan Thomas boathouse, grave and Brown’s were all just a short walk away. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely cottage in a central location for all the pubs, cafes and shops.

Great walks from the doorstep. The owner said about a small parking space at the front of cottage which was ideal for our size car. Rear enclosed garden is a great sun trap and safe for our dog.

It's in a great spot in the centre of Laugharne, close to all the eateries and the coast path.

The cottage is cosy and very well equipped for a wonderful stay. We'll definitely book again!

Beautiful cosy cottage in a lovely village, everything you could need is provided including details of local shops and amenities.

Highly recommend this well maintained cottage, so cosy to close curtains and light the wood burner in the delightful sitting room.

We only stayed at the property for three nights but it was lovely, everything we needed was there and it was like home from home with the added burners of a fantastically efficient log burner.

The location of the property was ideal, it was totally central for everywhere we wanted to visit under the castle at the bottom of the hill and the Beautiful walks around were fantastic, we would definitely stay there again!

We were so pleased, on entering Milk Wood Cottage, to find a very bright clean and cosy cottage.

Every evening we lit the wood fire, taking and buying extra wood. Thee wood burner was particularly easy to light too. However, the central heating was super efficient - and remember - we visited in early January! Our luck was in , though, since we had bright, warm sun to walk and picnic in every day barr the last! The internet was splendid for me to tutor from at a lovely big table. Our hosts left all we could possibly need on the first evening! Suffice to say we would have stayed on - and on - had not life called us back! Dr. Sue Houseago

Very cosy cottage in great location .

Many thanks

A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a magical place.

..would recommend for anyone with a dog for a most enjoyable holiday.

Luna (Collie) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at milkwood.

.. We went on some fabulous adventures together.... Milk wood was everything I hoped it would be.... This was my first solo trip in probably 40 years, Milkwood was the perfect fit.

Lovely cottage in a great location for walks and beaches.

Despit the weather my teenage children also loved their holiday. Lots of information in the cottage about things to do in the area. Owner very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Very spacious house with all items needed for a great stay .

Lovely area and nearby great beaches etc Would recommend this house highly Nice touches eg chocolates on arrival

We really enjoyed our stay.

Milk wood cottage is lovely and so well equipped and decorated. We especially enjoyed the garden, a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring all the wonderful places nearby. The location is perfect, only a short walk to pubs, cafes etc. we especially loved the views from Dylan’s birthday walk and enjoyed dog walks on some lovely beaches nearby, only a short drive away. We will definitely be returning to Milk wood cottage.

Great location.

Nice size for our party of four & well equipped. We were lucky with the weather so took full advantage of the nice enclosed suntrap of a rear garden. Explored Laugharne (Dylans writing shed, Boathouse etc. easy walking distance) Quenched our thirsts in The Mariners. Day out to Tenby was also excellent. Highly recommend Milkwood cottage. Thanks Colin for the info before arriving too.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Short walk to the castle, pubs, restaurants, shop etc. Convenience store open until 10pm every day. Lots of great walks from the cottage.

Wonderful cottage, ideally located down quiet side street but within easy reach of the castle, strand and pubs.

Really spacious sitting room with plenty of comfy seating, and a large well-equipped kitchen/diner. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the shower in the bathroom was incredibly powerful. The whole place was spotless. We love Laugharne and will definitely book Milk Wood Cottage. Apologies for leaving a bag of booze behind, we had to leave a day due to a family emergency and left in rather a rush. Please enjoy! Thank you so much for a lovely holiday. Can't wait to come back!

Great cottage home from home, everything you could need and more!

Great base to explore the area and very dog friendly, would recommend.

Absolutely lovely cottage in a great location.

Laugharne is a very special place, and it was great to have Milk Wood Cottage for our stay there. The well equipped kitchen and efficient wood burner were particularly appreciated for our February week! We’d love to return.

A fabulous cottage in a magical place, the quality of this cottage is exceptional.

Everything was provided, which made our stay very comfortable and completely worry free.

Fabulous cottage, right in the middle of Laugharne.

Really cosy, everything has been thought of to make your stay as hassle free as possible. Some great places to eat and drink on your doorstep. Ideally located for exploring the West Wales coastline. Would certainly recommend. We'll be back next year.

This was our second visit to this delightful cottage so we knew what to expect.

We weren't disappointed!

Lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable, and in a lovely area.

Only downside was the lack of parking, which did not bother us too much as we managed to park further down the lane although this could be a problem during the busy season. The welcome chocolates were a nice touch. Would definitely recommend Laugharne as a place to stay.

Lovely clean, comfortable cottage in the tranquil town on Laugharne.

Thank You for letting us stay in your lovely cottage- well stocked and homely- great beds and shower-looks so much nicer than most cottages you see- felt like people lived in it.

Laugharne reminded me of borth y gest where we often stay by Porthmadoc- stunning estuary.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday in Milkwood Cottage.

Everything we needed was provided, it was very clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. I would highly recommend Milkwood cottage it was just what the Dr ordered! Wonderful Thank you both for everything. Alyson.

Lovely property in a great location.

Laugharne is a really interesting, historic seaside village - with lots of pubs and cafes.

The cottage was in a good location - warm with a good bath and shower and most things we needed in the kitchen. It's worth phoning the owner to get the lowdown on the best place to park and places to eat. We found lots of good country walks nearby - although away from the coast, Welsh farmers sometimes show little respect for footpaths!

Double bed very uncomfortable.

Fabulous location to explore with Laugharne itself being very charming.

There were 5 of us in the cottage and the chair layout meant we couldn’t all sit round tv or play games without someone on the floor however it is a lovely wee cottage. The house was well equipped and we had a lovely time

The owner called prior to our trip with helpful and clear instructions for locating the cottage, parking etc and some very helpful local knowledge.

Milk Wood is a beautifully refurbished cottage in the heart of the vibrant village and exceeded our expectations. A quiet location amongst breathtaking scenery with extremely friendly and welcoming locals. Warm and cool this traditional cottage was a haven. A tranquil garden to relax in and deadhead added to the peace of the setting and just a short walk to pubs, restaurants, shops or the castle. Lots to see and do in the village in the heart of Dylan country or a short cars ride away…amroth and pendine both have beautiful long beaches. Couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely be back, inspiring, relaxing and restorative.

The cottage was incredibly comfortable, warm and delightful to look at, everything freshly painted and well - provisioned in terms of equipment.

Loved it, would make clear no WiFi available though.

Loved the extras. Cottage and location fabulous.

A lovely cosy cottage in the heart of Laugharne which offers plenty of places to eat out or to take away.

We (2 adults, 2 children, 1 baby and a dog!) were all very comfortable in the cottage and the wood burner was a real bonus in a rather wet and windy week in August!

Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need.

Great location. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.

Excellent ‘homely’ cottage.

Laugharne lovely village in fantastic area.

Excellent location spoilt for choice for walks great for dogs with them being aloud to go in most shops and some restaurant's

Lovely cottage but need to be aware of the hills if unfit.

Nice touch leaving butter, milk and home grown tomatoes. Bedside lamps needed new fuses and wiring checked. Only 2 out of 4 worked. Laugharne was attractive with good walks and great views. Very friendly place. Lots of dogs and very dog friendly. Would benefit from having internet as there was no phone signal either. Selection of places to eat out. Nearest pub did great pizzas with a wine offer - very good value.

The holiday was absolutely fabulous and we were blessed with fine weather throughout.

The cottage was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations, most especially as it is situated in a quiet street.

Beautiful cottage, everything we needed, great village location.

Planning to return for a longer stay next time.

Lovely cottage in pretty village.

Much attention to detail and well equipped. Plenty of eateries and coffee shops. Great dog walking beaches especially Pendine. Will go again

A very comfortable cottage-well equipped and very pet friendly-even provided bowls and leads if needed
