“We had a problem with the central heating as all the radiators went cold at 7.”
30pm sent a text to the owner who came over after a few moments and she said its because the radiators were up to temperature as they had thermostatic valves. all the valves were set to 5 which is the highest they go
the cottage was getting cold so it was not the valves, she had a look at the boiler which was not on despite it being on a timed programme and pressed a button to reset and the boiler restarted
about 2 hours later we had to reset the boiler again ourselves and we had to keep doing this for the duration of the holiday
sent the owner another text at 9.30am on Monday to say we have to keep resetting the boiler every 2 hours otherwise the radiators go off and the cottage goes cold, she came over again and said again its the thermostatic valves and that's how its set up despite the cottage being cold
my mother who is 85 feels the cold could tell when the heating was going off and we had to keep an eye on the time to get ready to reset the boiler, there was a electric heater in the lounge so we had to put that on to get some heat in the lounge
overall the cottage was nice and cosy just the heating was the problem
Thank you for your feedback,
